PTR VENT 2 TITANIUM SUPPRESSOR - MONOLITHIC 9MM SILENCER FOR PCC AND SUBGUN

The PTR Vent 2 is a 9mm suppressor machined from a single piece of 3D-printed titanium, with no welded joints, stacked baffles, or assembly seams. The monolithic body-to-core structure is built around PTR's patented Purposely Induced Porosity (PIP) technology, which controls gas expansion through engineered porosity in the titanium itself, allowing fine-tuned density, heat capacity, and thermal conductivity that traditional manufacturing can't match. Internal venting and complex baffle geometry work with a hybrid flow-through design to reduce port pop and muzzle signature while keeping backpressure low. At 8.9 ounces and 7.6 inches, with a SilencerCo Alpha 1.125x28 rear thread pattern, the Vent 2 rates for 9mm, .357 Magnum, .38 Special, and 300 BLK subsonic.

PEW Science independently tested the Vent 2 on an HK SP5 and awarded it a Suppression Rating of 62.7, noting it matched or beat comparable suppressors while running a higher flow rate, which reduces gas exposure to the shooter. PEW Science called PTR's PIP technology one of the most significant advancements in suppressed small arms.

CAPITOL ARMORY'S OPINION

The Vent 2 is purpose-built for PCCs and subguns, and that's where it earns its spot. On fixed-barrel hosts like the MP5/SP5 running subsonic ammo, the sound reduction is difficult to overstate. If a PCC or subgun is your primary suppressed host, this is one of the strongest options on the market right now. It's also more versatile than many other 9mm offerings. Coverage for .357 Magnum, .38 Special, and 300 BLK subsonic means one suppressor can cover multiple hosts in the safe. At 8.9 ounces and 7.6 inches, it adds minimal weight and length to any build. The tradeoff is on tilting-barrel pistols. You'll need some extra parts and accessories to get it mounted. The Alpha rear thread pattern means piston and 3-lug mount options are readily available.
